Elton John will perform twice at Bristol’s Ashton Gate stadium this week on his farewell tour. He will perform without a warm-up act, which means he will entertain the audience for over three hours on his own.
When will the Performances take place?
Sir Elton John’s Farewell Tour 2022 dates will play twice this week, once on Wednesday, June 22nd, and once on Sunday, June 26th. The area around the stadium will be transformed into a ‘fan zone,’ which will open at 4pm and close at 4.40pm.
The concert begins at 7 p.m., and attendees are asked to arrive 20 minutes early. The show is scheduled to end about 9.45 p.m.
Tickets and transportation
There will be specialised buses running from park and ride spots across the city for everyone who does not live within walking distance of Ashton Gate.
Coaches will travel from nearby towns such as Bridgewater, Highbridge, and Burnham-on-Sea to the concert. The Ashton Gate website has a comprehensive list of transportation choices.
Tickets for both Wednesday and Sunday are still available, but they are selling quickly.
Food and Beverages
Food and beverages will be sold inside the stadium, as they do at sporting events. There will be a variety of hot food and wine kiosks returning to the stadium after being incredibly successful in 2019 when Take That, Rod Stewart, and The Spice Girls all visited to town.
You will not be permitted to bring your own food inside the stadium unless it is for medical reasons. The sole exemption is a single 500ml bottle of water per person, which must be unopened at the time of entrance.
